Ikigai by CS was born during one of Chandni Sinha's many solo travels, where she explored vintage second-hand stores and discovered up cycled clothing that sparked her inspiration to create her own line upon returning home. The fashion industry is one of the biggest pollutants in the world, and every small step towards ethical fashion can make a significant impact. With this mindset, IBCS was established!
IBCS clothing features stunning pieces crafted entirely from fabrics and patchwork sourced from various regions in India, directly from artisans. The designs draw inspiration from music, dance, and the rich aesthetics of Asian culture, showcasing a unique approach to indie fashion.
Each piece is one of one; at IBCS we never recreate designs with the same pattern/fabric, making sure that each piece is unique!
IBCS has a strict zero waste policy, where every leftover scrap is used up in the next batch or to create caps/hats.
Chandni Sinha, a former publicist, now works as a freelance fashion stylist and a creative consultant across India, South East Asia, and Europe. She has always been driven by creativity; from a young age, she enjoyed tearing things apart and reimagining them, giving new life to forgotten items.
